How did you first connect with your own internal magic? How does your personal experience with magic and weaving it into your work, family, and everyday life inform the strategies and insights shared in the book?
The question I get asked most often is how did this happen? How did I get here, using my magic in life and business all day every day?
Bear with me for a moment while I explain as it isn’t as straightforward as ‘the Earth moved and suddenly I came into being.’ It’s more fraught than that as most amazingly powerful things are.
My corporate career was catapulting into the stratosphere when my son was born with significant issues. When the doctors said he wouldn’t be able to walk up the stairs naturally, throw and catch a ball, or have a normal social life, I said absolutely not. I dove deeply into healing and found the blending of eastern practices with western modalities brought the best results. I also realized how powerful my intuitive gifts were, but I had been too busy checking off all of the boxes for my next promotion, so I had forgotten about them. The combination of east meets west plus my intuitive powers changed everything. So much so, I now bring my intuitive powers into my business strategy work.
Here’s the best part though – my son, a senior in college, is an excellent athlete, has a great sense of humor, and too many friends to count.
I thought, “How could I hold onto this magic all for myself? I have to find a way to bring it into the business world that makes sense.” So, I did.
In All About Magic – Beginnings, you mention that energy is magic, intuition is magic, and the readers themselves are magic. Could you share some tips on how readers can tap into their innate magic and fully embrace their own magical potential today?
First and foremost, everyone is magical. Period. You knowing this to be true and committing to opening your own magic is the driver of your magical life.
Secondly, it’s important to recognize that you don’t need to forego your mind as most intuitive people suggest. The key is using your mind with your intuition to step into your brilliance. This is the first of my 5 Power Pairs to Living Your Soul Mission™ and as such, opens the doorway to aligning you with your true life purpose.
Your mind wants to be thoughtful as it yearns for logic and a straight path from where you are now to where you need to go. Accordingly, I’ve developed a mapping for your mind to follow. Here’s a snapshot:
- Stop the mind games and shift from second-guessing yourself and feeding thoughts of self-doubt by using positive affirmations such as, “I am good at what I do,” “I have the necessary experience and abilities,” and “My skills are needed in the world.”
- Gain self-awareness by seeing yourself through other’s eyes. Recall compliments and comments people usually give you. Make yourself a list as a reminder.
- Follow your instincts as the first step in using your intuition. Make time every day to observe any signs and symbols around you such as repeating numbers. Note what they mean.
- Pull an oracle card every morning and ponder its meaning throughout the day.
- Do one thing that pushes you beyond your comfort zone – just a little bit. Do this regularly and watch your magic grow.
You are also a Business Strategist with 25+ years of C-suite experience. How does this factor into your work in the magical realm?
Knowing how effective weaving magic with business can be, I’ve combined the magical ancient wisdom with the practical innovative strategic methods to teach my clients how to become rich and powerful, make a big impact, and leave their legacy.
For one of my clients, she was having issues owning her value, so experienced minimal success. She needed to know herself more fully and embrace her unique gifts. Together, we helped her gain awareness of her issues and resolve them to remove the blocks to her success. We then set up her right offering stack and the appropriate pricing. She began showing up and owning her brilliance and once she did, she had clients coming from all directions. In fact, she said one of my favorite lines, “Working with Kim is like having a fairy godmother in your business.” How wonderful is that?
For another of my clients, she was having trouble balancing her growing business with her growing family. She was continuously launching new offerings and trying new approaches and both activities were adding undo stress and unnecessary effort. Once I tapped into her natal star chart and channeled her true life purpose with her corresponding business model, she implemented it with her current clientele. She immediately experienced a 40% increase in revenue with a 30% decrease in effort and has continued to grow both her business and her family ever since.
Connecting to inner guides is highlighted as a way to amplify magical powers practically. Could you explain how readers can establish and nurture this connection, and what benefits they can expect to gain from it?
Your inner guides are accessible through your instinct first as it’s your doorway into intuition. It’s the initial knock and gives you your initial YES or NO reaction.
“Is this person my soulmate?”
“Should I hire this candidate?”
“Should I go in this direction to get to my appointment on time?”
If your answer is a NO, you’ll feel it in your body immediately. This is where the statements, “gut instinct” or the ‘hair on the back of my neck stood up” come from as your body is giving you feedback about whether something is good for you or not.
The NO answers are stronger as they are the instinctive fight or flight response. Your YES answers will be subtler. In fact, they may not generate any feelings at all. The key is determining how your body communicates instinctively with you.
For many, your instinctive feelings do arise in your belly or your neck, but for others, your body responds differently. The key, therefore, is to figure out how your instinct responds to a YES or NO question. Your body may change temperature, make you shudder, give you goosebumps, or even cause a soft flutter on your arms or legs.
Once you determine how your body instinctively gives you nudges, you’ll be able to rely on your instincts as a first response to enter the home of your intuition. As you continue to follow your instincts, your intuition gets louder and makes itself known to you more readily.
This begins as ‘hearing, seeing, sensing, or knowing” from your guides and then continues until you know it’s actually you and your inner knowing.
The benefits from following your intuitive guidance are many. Here are a few:
- Creating calm and relieving stress
- Being more balanced
- Increasing your self-awareness
- Gaining equanimity; you’re bigger than your life or business rather than your life or business being bigger than you
- Making sound decisions
- Asking for and receiving support
- Seeking opportunities to tap into your full potential
- Being in the flow to connect with the right people
Your life shifts for the better the more you use your intuition. Talk to your inner guides – they’ve been trying to get your attention.
