CacheTech Advisor Solutions announced the appointment of Raj Shekhar, Ph.D, CFA as the Portfolio Manager and Head of Quantitative Research. In this position, Raj will lead the research and implementation of quantitative alpha-driving strategies for all CacheTech Asset Management strategies with a primary focus on our hedge fund clients.
Raj has a wealth of expertise and experience in equity and fixed income alpha models, quantitative factor investment, and a diverse range of financial instruments. He has a strong background in ETF trading and research. Raj held positions at BlackBox Capital LLC and Knight Capital where he researched and managed systematic trading ETF arbitrage strategies, developed quantitative risk management, and auto-hedging models to minimize trading costs and optimized tracking baskets for domestic-equity ETFs.
Raj’s academic accomplishments are remarkable. He is a CFA Charterholder with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. His coursework includes a broad range of finance, mathematics, and statistics courses, highlighting his exceptional analytical abilities. Additionally, Raj’s research has been published in several academic journals, and he is currently writing a book about investing.
