The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) has announced that USHER and Victoria Monét will be honored at a VIP party in Los Angeles. The event will celebrate ASCAP’s top music creators who have made a significant impact on music, art, and culture. On June 27, USHER will receive the ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award, while Victoria Monét will accept the ASCAP Vanguard Award.
The ASCAP Voice of the Culture Award is given to ASCAP members who have had a major influence on music and culture. It recognizes their success as creators and changemakers. In the past, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and D-Nice have been honored with this award.
The ASCAP Vanguard Award is presented to ASCAP members whose innovative work is helping to shape the future of music. Previous recipients of this award include Migos, Janelle Monáe, and Beastie Boys.
