Following in the footsteps of Elon Musk and Mark Cuban, Californian recording studio “ESCAPE” becomes world’s first creative facility to accept $DOGE Coin. Owner/Musician Rocco Gardner tells Billboard, “Its important that the music industry adopts these mechanisms now.”
Escape is a 140-acre ranch near famed music-town Pioneertown, CA. The studios recently hosted Rüfüs du Sol during the pandemic and ZZ Top frontman Billy F. Gibbons. The highly private studios and ranch are known to host artists and business leaders from a range of industries, focusing on our existence and ways to change the world for the betterment of all life. More information is available at esca.pe or on social media via @escape.
Rocco Gardner recently sat down with Billboard Argentina to discuss what’s to come in 2021:
“All of our focus and attention went into the studios and the projects we’ve been working on. I’m sure a lot of people out there joined the home improvement market. We added three new studios, a spa building and upgraded our equipment, it seemed like the right moment.”
“Connecting artists in real time from their special space (the studio) to their fanbase. Real messaging and connection. I’ve been in the crypto space since the early days and it’s been fun recently watching the likes of various entrepreneurs and businesses catching up. We recently started taking crypto payments including Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS and Dogecoin ($EOS, $ETH, $DOGE, $BTC) – which probably makes us the world’s first recording studio to do so. I think its important that the music industry adopts these mechanisms – not only for fans but also music industry professionals. It’s hard enough to make a living from it, so why not benefit from cutting out banking, where possible? And lastly, flying – I just love being able to move out. I get to switch off from the world and come up with a couple of new ideas.”
