S.J. Collins Enterprises, a premier Atlanta-based mixed-use, retail, and multifamily development firm, recently welcomed Fain Hicks to its team as a new partner.

With more than 22 years of commercial real estate experience, Hicks joins Jeff Garrison and Jeff DeHart at the partnership level as Steve Collins, the firm’s founder, assumes the role of chairman of the board.
In his new role, Hicks will focus on originating development opportunities and expanding the firm’s capital relationships.
“We’ve worked with Fain for the past decade and welcome him to our team,” said Jeff DeHart, partner at S.J. Collins. “His skill set will be a great fit for our partnership as we look to grow the firm’s development offerings.”
Prior to joining S.J. Collins Enterprises, Hicks was the managing director of Cushman & Wakefield. During his time there, he provided institutional, private and individual owners, investors and developers with an unrivaled level of comprehensive advisory services for all types of retail real estate assets.
Hicks also spent 10 years in the commercial real estate finance arena at Wachovia Securities and JP Morgan. He has been directly involved with more than $4 billion of investment property sales and traditional and structured financings.

Hicks is a Georgia native and received his bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of Georgia. He is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia and a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, International Council of Shopping Centers, Million Dollar Club and a Certified Commercial Investment Member.
