After a long period spent at home due to COVID-19 and the global pandemic, there was a lockdown all around the world. We are here again, reviewing the beautiful Lochland Botanicals Garden. Its location is simple and easy to visit as if you live here in Toronto. You will reach after that an hour’s drive from Toronto to this beautiful place called Milton, where you will find the botanical gardens.
More so, it is a calm place aside from the sound and air pollution of the city life. One of the most beautiful and heart soothing things you will find here is the chirping of birds. Another exciting thing you will find here: you can pick flowers, and no one will prevent you from doing this; that is very strange in a botanical garden.
Inside the Hamilton Botanical Garden — the Wagon Ride
The farmers allow you to enjoy and tour the Lavender garden in a wagon from one end to another free of cost. Mostly the weather is quite hot over these places due to greenery and flowers from one end to another.
Butterfly Garden aka Lavender Garden:
After a joyful ride, nowhere, I am at the butterfly garden. You will experience lavender color small flowers here. Each flower has a bee apiary, which makes the garden eligible for pollination. Aside from pollination, these bees add extra charm to the garden. Why is it a butterfly garden? Along with bees, the lavender color is the most favorite color of butterflies. Thus, these attract colorful butterflies, which is why people call it the Butterfly garden.
The Swing Ride:
There is a pink color swing ride in the middle of the butterfly garden area. The swing is powerful, so a sweet couple can ride and enjoy the unforgettable moment of their life.
Herbs and Shrubs:
Near the swing, there are a number of herbs planted in rows in a straight line, with water flowing in them like a small stream. Surprisingly, you can pick herbs as well to treat any cure.
Elderberry Trees:
The wagon will drop you at the center of the butterfly garden. From there, you have to walk down and surpass the swing and herbs area to visit the elderberry trees area. People use elderberry for preparing soda. For example, the soda we use in daily life (cream soda/paneer soda) that the industries prepare from natural elderberry.
Aside from trees, you will see peppermint herbs planted in the same way as you viewed in the butterfly garden. These are the primary cure for flu and cold. On the other side, you will see numerous tall trees. Here you can take a rest after the long visit.
Further, you will find dark trees (pine trees, I guess), along with lush green herbs. Below the trees, there are again green-colored plants and lavender plants, which increases the garden’s beauty.
How to Harvest?
I think now you are wondering how to harvest flowers or herbs. So do not worry. Because when you enter the Lochland Botanicals, the staff will give you scissors and a bottle of water. You can use scissors to harvest, and you know what to do with a bottle of water on a hot, sunny day.
