Luis Alvarado, a DeFi investment mentor and the founder of Unlimited Leverage, continues to cherish the memory of his early childhood in Peru. Back then, the days had a slower pace, and life’s little pleasures were enough to bring happiness.
Luis admits not having any luxurious aspirations as a kid. Becoming an investor and entrepreneur was not on his radar. It was not until he and his family migrated to the United States that a desire to relieve his parents from the stress derived from money inspired him to learn about finance and investment.
“As soon as we moved to the U.S., I realized that the biggest void that we had was money,” said Luis during a recent video interview. “There was a lot of love in my family, but the only times that I would see arguments happen was whenever we had to pay a bill.”
Nowadays, Luis is a successful DeFi investor, and in recent years, he has built a thriving career as a DeFi investment mentor. At the Unlimited Leverage passive income accelerator program, he helps prospective investors dive into the crypto market and generate high-return passive income streams. Through his company, Luis teaches students worldwide to yield up to 500% annual returns and gain financial independence.
Growing up in Peru, Luis didn’t dream of living in a mansion on top of a hill, wearing Gucci clothes, and driving a Lambo. Later in life, having witnessed the financial difficulties his parents faced after migrating to the U.S. inspired him to become an investor and investment mentor, so money could no longer be an issue for his family or anybody else.
In a recent video interview back in January, Luis connected from a condo overviewing downtown Las Vegas to talk about how his childhood experience migrating to the U.S. motivated him to venture into the world of DeFi investment.
Luis recalls with a full-lipped smile on his face that his first dream as a child was to become an astronaut. He remembers living a happy childhood back in Peru despite his family not having a lot of money. During that period, he possessed a more modest notion of wealth.
“Back then, it was like ‘life is good; we are happy; my family is healthy,’” said Luis. “Even though we didn’t live in the best neighborhood, life was still good, and I didn’t have any other expectations.”
At age seven, when Luis came to the U.S. with his parents and younger sister, money became a significant source of stress. Chasing a better life for them and their children, Luis’ parents worked extra hours in low-skilled jobs. Although Luis’ parents provided a loving household environment, paying bills was a recurring hassle.
“One of the biggest voids at home was money,” narrated Luis. “My parents had to work jobs that they would’ve never had to do in Peru because they were professionals. In the U.S., they had to start over from scratch and work 12 plus hours every day for a minimum wage.”
Despite his young age, Luis understood that the root of his parents’ financial stress was the need for money. To this day, he continues to preserve the memory of the days when his parents stayed working late. He had to take care of his little sister in those nights, not knowing when they would return, without any means to communicate with them, and watching accidents news in a language he did not comprehend yet.
More than a decade later, Luis’ experience as a child motivated him to dive into the world of investment. He wanted to learn how to make his money work for him and escape the vicious cycle of struggling to pay the bills month after month. In Crypto, he found a medium to attain financial independence and teach others how to achieve the same.
“What was once one of my biggest voids became one of my biggest values, which is teaching people about money and finance,” said Luis.
The financial difficulties Luis and his family faced after immigrating from Peru shaped him into the person he is today. With his “Passive Income Accelerator” program, he aspires to become a mentor for people worldwide who struggle with money, helping them achieve financial independence.
“When I was younger, money was one of the biggest things that I was missing,” concluded Luis. “So now, I can tell people, ‘I went through it; I learned, and it is a science that anybody can learn, too.’”
