“The first time I saw the office space, it was a blank canvas. The walls and floors, which we couldn’t change because it’s a rented office, were neutral with beige and dark gray hues,” states Verbist in her blog article.
But she quickly emphasized how much of an asset it was.
“That might sound dull. But it offered me a lot of leeway in choosing the elements to enhance it. And I had plenty of modern office ideas in mind,” says Verbist.
And in fact, Samia Verbist used the existing colors to overhaul and transform the space.
Collaborating To Create A Unique Space
Part of Samia Verbist’s formula is getting input from clients. She met with and discussed multiple facets of the ideal office space for the office workers, as exhibited by her design choices.
“The managers had their own offices, so my task was to organize the open space for the employees so they could easily work together,” emphasizes Verbist.
“Everyone thought it would be helpful to have additional areas that would be more casual and comfortable where small groups could meet for brainstorming or ideation,” she continues.
This extra emphasis on what works for everyone not only creates a more cohesive office space but helps Verbist design all of her ambitious projects. Whether a unique powder room or a farmhouse kitchen, Verbist pours immense creativity into it.
What resulted was a fantastic, impressive office space that blended professionalism with dashes of casual creativity. When office workers need a break, they can take advantage of a beautiful, relaxed space with a pinball machine.
