In this exclusive interview, he discusses the purpose of his platform, offers guidance for young people, shares his thoughts on strengthening Black communities, and explains why he believes spiritual renewal is the foundation for lasting change.
Q: What inspired you to create Let The Truth Be Told?
Elder Tarah: The vision was simple, to create a platform where truth could be discussed without compromise. There are countless voices speaking on politics, entertainment, and social issues, but many conversations leave out what I believe is the most important foundation: God’s Word. My goal has always been to encourage people to study the Scriptures for themselves, seek wisdom, and apply biblical principles to everyday life.
Q: How would you describe the mission of your podcast?
Elder Tarah: Our mission is to educate, inspire, and challenge people to think beyond the headlines. We discuss current events, entrepreneurship, relationships, health, music, and culture, but everything is viewed through a biblical lens according to my faith. I want listeners to leave each episode not only informed but encouraged to grow spiritually, become more disciplined, and take greater responsibility for their lives and communities.
Q: Your guests come from many different backgrounds. Why is that important to you?
Elder Tarah: Every person has a story that can teach us something. We’ve welcomed artists, business owners, chefs, community leaders, and independent creators because wisdom can come through many life experiences. Even when people don’t agree on everything, respectful conversation can still build understanding and encourage growth.
Q: Many young people are searching for direction. What advice would you give them?
Elder Tarah: My first advice is to seek God before you seek success. The world teaches people to chase money, fame, and popularity, but without character and spiritual grounding, those things can disappear overnight. Learn discipline. Respect your parents. Read the Scriptures. Develop a trade or a skill. Stay away from people who encourage destruction instead of growth. Most importantly, understand that your identity should not be defined by social media or the opinions of other people. Build yourself spiritually, mentally, and financially so you can become a blessing to your family and your community.
Q: What do you believe are some of the biggest challenges facing the Black community today?
Elder Tarah: We face many challenges, but one of the greatest is the loss of spiritual direction. In my view, we’ve become distracted by division, materialism, and entertainment while neglecting faith, family, education, and economic responsibility. Lasting progress begins when individuals take accountability for their actions, strengthen their households, and commit themselves to serving God according to Scripture. We also need stronger mentorship, greater financial literacy, support for Black-owned businesses, and a renewed commitment to educating our children. Real change starts at home and grows through communities that invest in one another.
Q: How can faith contribute to rebuilding families and communities?
Elder Tarah: I believe faith gives people purpose and accountability. When people sincerely apply biblical principles, it creates stronger homes and stronger communities. Scripture teaches us that lasting transformation begins with changing the heart, and I believe that principle is just as relevant today as it has always been.
Q: You also spend time highlighting independent artists and entrepreneurs. What motivates that?
Elder Tarah: There are so many talented people who never receive mainstream opportunities. I believe independent creators deserve platforms where their work can be seen and appreciated. Whether it’s music, business, or community service, I enjoy helping people tell their stories because someone listening may be inspired to pursue their own calling.
Q: Beyond podcasting, you’re active in community outreach. Why is that work so important?
Elder Tarah: Talking is important, but action matters even more. That’s why I spend time engaging with people directly through mentorship and public outreach. Sometimes what people need most isn’t another lecture, they need someone willing to listen, encourage them, and point them toward hope. I believe serving people where they are is an essential part of living out my faith.
Q: What can listeners expect from Let The Truth Be Told in the future?
Elder Tarah: We’re continuing to grow the platform with more in-depth interviews, educational programming, live podcast events, and community initiatives. I want the show to become more than just a podcast. My vision is to build a multimedia platform that educates, inspires, and equips people with practical knowledge while keeping faith at the center of every conversation.
Q: You openly identify as a Hebrew Israelite. How has your faith shaped your life and the message you share through Let The Truth Be Told?
Elder Tarah: My faith is the foundation of everything I do. As a Hebrew Israelite, I strive to live according to the Scriptures and encourage others to study the Bible for themselves rather than simply accepting what they’re told. That perspective shapes every episode of Let The Truth Be Told. Whether we’re discussing current events, family, business, music, or the challenges facing our communities, I believe Scripture provides timeless principles that can help guide our decisions. I encourage listeners to seek wisdom, pursue righteousness, and develop a stronger relationship with God through prayer, study, and obedience to His commandments. Ultimately, I want people to become more spiritually aware, and more committed to living lives of purpose and integrity.
Q: One of the core teachings you often discuss is your belief about the identity of the biblical Israelites. Can you explain that belief and why it’s central to your ministry?
Elder Tarah: According to my understanding of Scripture, the Black people in America and throughout the Caribbean, along with Hispanics and Native Americans of Indigenous and Negro descent, are descendants of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. That conviction is rooted in my personal study of the Bible and informs the mission of my ministry and this podcast. It’s about calling people whom I believe are the Israelites back to a relationship with Jesus Christ and encouraging them to embrace repentance, faith, and obedience to God’s commandments. I believe the message of the Gospel is one of redemption, restoration, and hope. Ultimately, I believe that spiritual transformation begins with returning to God and allowing His truth to guide every aspect of our lives.
Q: If you could leave readers with one final message, what would it be?
Elder Tarah: Never stop seeking truth. Study the Scriptures, seek wisdom, love your family, strengthen your community, and live with integrity. My prayer is that we choose faith over fear, wisdom over confusion, and service over selfishness. That’s how lasting change begins.
