To be honest, skateboarding culture is not familiar now. But skateboarding has its origin in the 1960s. Young enthusiasts in NYC are likely to prefer the idea of sidewalk surfing and replicate the sensation of riding waves on the bustling city streets. It is an initial idea for skateboards to do with wooden planks with roller skate wheels attached. It leads to a widespread ban on skateboard culture in public places. Of course, skateboards were able to often meet with disdain from the public and law enforcement. The setbacks soon hit with persisting underground and small groups to be noticed in hidden spots to do practice sessions with their craft as well.

Skateboard Has The Turning Point: Tompkins Square Park

Local legends utilize the park to get into the architecture and skating without any hassles. The skateboard culture is now on the global stage to elevate the beauty and essence of NYC tourism.

Set back Skateboarding Renaissance: Skate Parks and Recognition.

With growing popularity and interest, the skateboard renaissance hit back and was recognized stronger in the parks and other popular streets.
