Gunship Helicopters, an attraction based in Las Vegas, provides an unusual opportunity for guests to shoot at a variety of targets on the mountainside while flying in a helicopter. Recently, Gunship Helicopters announced a new addition to their lineup, an M240 fully automatic machine gun, that can be shot from the helicopter or on the ground. The experiences with the new M240 will complement the existing air arsenal, which includes the M249 SAW and the M134 Minigun.
“Gunship Helicopters is thrilled to add a new experience to our array of entertainment for our guests of all backgrounds and skill levels. The M240 will be sure to amaze anyone looking for the ultimate adrenaline adventure,” says Casey Pursell, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Gunship Helicopters prioritizes safety above everything else. Before boarding the helicopter, guests are required to complete an orientation and mission briefing. An air range safety officer accompanies guests on the flight, prepares the gun, and directs passengers on its firing. The officer is also responsible for operating the gun, which is secured to a mount on the outside of the helicopter. This unique setup allows passengers to shoot while remaining safely inside the aircraft. With the doors open, guests can experience the thrill of firing a gun at steel targets and wreckage hundreds of yards away while being securely belted in their seat.
