Grammy-winning performer and New Orleans native Harry Connick Jr. is returning to his hometown to serve as Special Guest Artistic Director for the United States debut of Rockin’1000, a global collective of 1,000 musicians from 25 countries set to perform together in a historic concert at the Caesars Superdome on January 31, 2026. Tickets are now available for the event.
Connick will curate a dedicated segment of the live stadium show celebrating both local musicians and New Orleans’ musical heritage. The performance is part of Rockin’1000’s first U.S. appearance, bringing together guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, singers, and a specially featured horn section to deliver rock anthems and fan favorites in a powerful collective performance.
Rockin’1000, known as the “Biggest Rock Band on Earth,” unites performers of all ages and backgrounds—from young players to retirees—in a collaborative musical experience. Originally launched in Italy, the movement has grown into a global community dedicated to the belief that music can bridge cultures and inspire audiences worldwide.
Connick, whose career spans multiple Grammy and Emmy awards as well as success in film, television, and Broadway, expressed excitement about welcoming the musicians to New Orleans. He emphasized the city’s deep musical roots and the significance of hosting such a large-scale, celebratory event in the Crescent City.
Organizers and local tourism officials have highlighted the event as a once-in-a-lifetime concert that honors both global musicianship and New Orleans’ status as a cultural and musical hub. Fans and attendees are gearing up for what is expected to be one of the most memorable live music experiences of the year.
