How to Use the Nexa Ultra Vape

The Nexa Ultra is one of the most advanced – not to mention most unique – disposable vapes on the market, and it all comes down to the device’s innovative system for storing its e-liquid. Unlike most disposable vapes – which store their e-liquid in opaque containers that you can’t see – the Nexa Ultra has a clear tank that makes it easy for you to see how much e-liquid you have. That’s great for usability, and the unique design of the Nexa Ultra also means that the device’s flavor quality is much better than you’d expect from a disposable vape.

The fact that the Nexa Ultra has such a unique design, though, means that it requires a little more setup than a typical disposable vape – so we’re going to help you figure it out in this guide. Here’s a complete walkthrough on how to use the Nexa Ultra vape.

Unboxing and Setting Up the Nexa Ultra

Before you can start using your new Nexa vape, you need to remove it from the package and get it set up. The e-liquid tank is packaged separately to keep the vape juice fresh and ensure that the device won’t leak. Here’s what you need to do.

  • Open the box and remove the Nexa Ultra and e-liquid tank from their individual pouches.
  • Remove the two silicone plugs from the Nexa Ultra device and discard them.
  • Align the e-liquid tank so that the foil-covered opening meets the peg protruding from the side of the device. Push the tank until it clicks into place.
  • Wait about five minutes for the Nexa Ultra’s wick to saturate fully before vaping.

Using the Nexa Ultra

The Nexa Ultra has an automatic puff sensor that detects the incoming airflow and turns the device on. That makes vaping easy, although it’s helpful to know a few things before you start.

  • To vape, inhale through the mouthpiece of the Nexa Ultra. When you puff on the device, it generates vapor automatically. Puff gently to avoid leaking and gurgling.
  • Press the button below the charging port to switch between the Nexa Ultra’s two available power levels. The Nexa Ultra has single-coil (Norm) and dual-coil (Turbo) vaping modes, and you can tell which mode is active by looking at the screen.
  • Move the slider on the bottom of the device to make the airflow tighter or looser.

Recharging the Nexa Ultra

The Nexa Ultra has a smart display that shows the device’s remaining battery charge. When the meter reads “00,” it’s time to recharge your device. The Nexa Ultra has a battery capacity of 800 mAh and typically provides up to two days of vaping between charges. To recharge the device, connect it to your computer with a USB-C cable. The Nexa Ultra takes a little under an hour to charge, and you can watch the screen to know when it’s done.

When Is the Nexa Ultra Empty?

One of the best things about using a vape with a clear e-liquid tank is that you can easily see how much e-liquid remains in the device just by looking at the tank. Nexa made it even simpler by giving the tank some handy measuring lines on the side. You can easily see when you’ve passed milestones like using a quarter of the tank, using half of the tank and so on.

Another unique aspect of the Nexa Ultra is that it actually stores its e-liquid in two places. There’s the 15 ml tank on the outside that you already know about, and the device also has a 5 ml internal pod. Because the device stores some of its e-liquid internally, it isn’t quite empty when the tank reaches the bottom. You’ll still have some puffs remaining as you drain the internal pod. Nevertheless, you should plan to replace the device soon. When the Nexa Ultra is completely empty, it’ll start to produce a burnt flavor.

Fixing Problems with the Nexa Ultra

Now that you know how to use the Nexa Ultra, it’s time to learn how to fix the problems that you might occasionally encounter with this device. The Nexa Ultra might be a little more complicated than some other disposable vapes, but it’s still easier to troubleshoot than a refillable vape like a pod system or vape mod. In most cases, you’ll be able to eliminate the problem and get back to vaping quickly.

Nexa Ultra Leaking or Gurgling

If your Nexa Ultra is leaking or gurgling, the issue comes down to your vaping technique or how the tank is installed. Here’s what you should check.

  • Make sure that the tank is pushed all the way in. The post in the device’s tank compartment should poke through the foil covering the tank’s opening, creating a seal that prevents leaking. Push the tank all the way in until it clicks.
  • When you unbox the Nexa Ultra, don’t remove the tank’s foil cover because that could compromise the seal. The device is designed to poke a hole in the foil.
  • Don’t use too much air pressure when puffing on the Nexa Ultra. If you puff too hard, you could draw e-liquid into the airflow channel.

Nexa Ultra Not Hitting

If your Nexa Ultra isn’t hitting when you puff on it, chances are that the device is set up incorrectly or has a dead battery. Here’s what you should do.

  • Make sure that you’ve removed the silicone plug from the mouthpiece. You won’t be able to vape until the plug is removed.
  • Check the battery meter. If it reads “00,” the battery is dead. Connect the Nexa Ultra to your computer to recharge the battery.
  • If the Nexa Ultra made a gurgling sound before it stopped working, it’s likely that the puff sensor is stuck – probably because you inhaled too firmly. Try blowing a few sharp puffs of air through the mouthpiece and tapping the Nexa Ultra against your hand a few times. That’ll most likely get the puff sensor working again.

Nexa Ultra Not Charging

When you connect the Nexa Ultra to your computer, the screen should turn on to let you know that the battery is charging. If the screen stays dark, something isn’t working correctly with the charging process. Here’s what you should do next.

  • Try charging the Nexa Ultra with a different cable. USB cables get damaged easily, and it’s likely that the cable you’re using is the cause of the problem.
  • Try charging the Nexa Ultra with a different power source. You can charge the Nexa Ultra with your computer or with a wall charger that has an output of 5 volts and 1 amp.
  • Make sure that the Nexa Ultra’s charging port is clean. You can remove contaminants in the charging port with a toothpick or compressed air.
