Popeyes Foundation and Feed the Children Launch SERVING WITH LOVE Tour to Combat Food Insecurity

With one in five children in the U.S. facing food insecurity, the Popeyes Foundation and the global anti-hunger organization Feed the Children are launching the SERVING WITH LOVE® Tour. This coast-to-coast initiative aims to provide food, daily essentials, and other resources to local youth and families in 15 communities this fall.

The tour, which kicks off in August and runs through October, will stop in major cities including Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and New York City. Each stop will assist 400 families by delivering a 25-pound box of food that includes shelf-stable items such as canned vegetables, pasta, and peanut butter, alongside a 15-pound box of personal care essentials like shampoo and toothpaste.

Together, the organizations anticipate impacting over 6,000 families, with a total estimated value of more than $1.75 million in food and essential supplies.

“At the Popeyes Foundation, providing that seat at the table, soul-warming, don’t-go-hungry kind of love is at the heart of our brand,” said Renee Hobbs, Executive Director of the Popeyes Foundation. “That’s why partnering with Feed the Children to provide food and essentials to communities is a priority for us.”

According to the USDA, there are currently 13.8 million children in the U.S. living in households experiencing food insecurity, meaning they lack consistent access to sufficient food for an active, healthy life. The SERVING WITH LOVE® Tour aims to alleviate this uncertainty for many families, allowing children to thrive.

Emily Callahan, President and CEO of Feed the Children, emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing childhood hunger. “We’ve seen the significant impact that these local food and resource events have on communities where children are hungry,” Callahan said. “Through the power of partnership, we can create a world where no child goes to bed hungry.”

Community leaders, local partners, and Popeyes will work together to provide better access to food and essential resources at each tour stop. The organizations invite everyone to join the movement against childhood hunger and encourage donations at feedthechildren.org or popeyesfoundation.org/donate.

For children everywhere, having enough to eat is a fundamental right. The SERVING WITH LOVE® Tour represents a collective effort to ensure that no child has to face hunger.
