Actress Alomai Addams is making a big splash in 2023 with her lead role in the upcoming true crime series, “Demons and Saviors.” But her rise to fame is the result of a lifetime of hard work and dedication to her craft. Born in Amsterdam, Alomai (meaning “god of moonlight” in Guarani) was influenced by her grandfather, a famous Uruguayan musician, who instilled in her a passion for the arts. At just three years old, she landed her first acting gig in a commercial for Danone yogurt, despite not even liking the taste.
Over the years, Alomai honed her skills at various theater schools, including The Youth Theatre School and De Trap Theater School. But her journey was not without its challenges. She admits to having moments of self-doubt and even taking breaks from acting, but ultimately found her way back to her true passion.
Acting is not only a career for Alomai, but also a form of self-expression and a way to understand the motivations of different characters. She is inspired by strong female roles and actors like Rosamund Pike, Uma Thurman, and Beatrice Dalle, and counts Keanu Reeves as her favorite actor. Currently, Alomai can be seen in the TV show “Bestseller Boy” and will star in “Demons and Saviors” on Hulu in 2023. Her advice to aspiring actors: “Believe in yourself and don’t let anyone or anything stand in the way of your goals.”
