Sandline Global, a top e-discovery services company, has welcomed Dan Whitaker as its Senior Vice President and Head of APAC. Whitaker boasts more than ten years of experience in e-discovery, cross-border, and APAC legal matters, which makes him the ideal candidate to lead Sandline’s growing operations in the Asia-Pacific region. With a presence in Taipei, Taiwan, Sandline’s expansion into China will better serve multi-national corporations with offices in China, as well as law firms with cross-border discovery needs and China practices.

Whitaker is tasked with leading Sandline Global’s growth strategy in the APAC region, specifically by increasing the company’s client base and operations in China. Sandline Global considers China to be a significant market and is dedicated to providing its top-notch e-discovery services in the area to gain a competitive advantage.

Dan Whitaker is the new addition to Sandline Global, where he currently holds the position of APAC Managing Director. He has extensive experience in sales and leadership roles with software and services companies, having lived in China for 15 years. Dan is known for his honesty, transparency, and willingness to share best practices, which has earned him the trust and respect of customers, colleagues, and partners.
Dan currently resides in Beijing but previously lived in Shanghai where he actively served in several volunteer leadership positions at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai). This included chairing the IT Committee and serving as a “D.C. Doorknock” Delegate, a yearly exercise where executives and senior leaders of American businesses in China meet with members of Congress and the US Presidential Administration. Over three years, Dan has met with over 100 members of Congress and the Administration, exchanging viewpoints on the realities facing American businesses in China today.
Apart from his professional life, Dan has also been active in volunteer leadership roles with the USA Girl Scouts Overseas, where he chaired the USA GSO Shanghai Leadership Committee, and the Boy Scouts of America, where he currently serves as Pack Committee Chair for Pack 3944 in Beijing.
