As a working mom, balancing work and family life is tough. Back in the time, working moms found it challenging to focus on their careers and bring up their children together due to fewer technological advancements.

But now, in today’s digital world, women can balance work and motherhood and stay organized with the help of advanced technology. Technology has made women’s life as a mother heroic and much more manageable.

Innovations in technology are very beneficial for us educated, high aspiration, and modern mothers. That is what I realized after becoming a mother when I stopped underestimating even my microwave, fridge, washing machine, and vacuum cleaner. Ideally, it is only because of these gadgets and new-age advancements that we can aspire to be working moms, multi-taskers, superwomen, or mompreneurs.

This thought inspired me to research how technology has been benefiting working moms and how other women can use it to fulfill their aspirations and career goals along with raising their children.

How Has Modern Technology Made Life Easier for Working Moms in Today’s Digital Era?

Technological advances feel magical to me because they help me achieve the ambiguous goal of work-family balance. Now, I can manage my household efficiently using modern electronic home appliances. Luckily, I don’t have to compromise my family’s health.

A formula maker and puree maker have made it easy to make my little one’s meal in no time. I can feed my baby healthy and nutritious meals in this environmentally friendly way and save my time and energy.

In addition, I have a breastmilk machine that is a blessing for working moms. This helpful tool allows me to store my breast milk for several hours. Microwaves and regular ovens have made cooking easier, so I don’t have to drudge long in the kitchen.

Other electronic devices, such as a Dyson vacuum cleaner, advanced washing machine, and coffee machine, also help me do my job more quickly. In addition, let me highlight some other technologies every mom should take advantage of to make life easier.

A portable baby monitor can be incredibly helpful for working mothers by providing peace of mind and allowing them to balance their professional responsibilities with caring for their children.

These smart gadgets helped me to conveniently continue my job from home without any hurdles also during my pregnancy.

Other go-to tech devices are video doorbells and CCTV. You can see the front door view or any other right from your phone as a busy mom, which also increases safety and security. In a nutshell, technology helps you when you need to be more than just a “mother.”

Working Moms Feel Much Better than Stay-at-home Moms, the Research Finds

You’ve seen how technology contributes to helping working moms do their job quicker and more efficiently and make them happy. So, it is much better to be a working mom and pursue your career than stay home and do the same daily duties.

According to research by the American Psychological Association, mothers with jobs are happier and healthier than mothers staying at home during their children’s babyhood or pre-school years. Working mothers reported better health and fewer depression symptoms than stay-at-home moms.

Because when a woman works, she has the confidence to support her family and be a better parent. Working moms have no idle time to overthink, go through the same routine, stay home all day, and risk their health.

In my research, I’ve interviewed my friends who are working mothers. Every single one of them experiences immense joy and contentment in their roles as mothers who work. They said that the feeling of achieving success in professional life, supporting their family, and raising their children is so amazing. This feeling keeps them motivated, inspired, and healthy.

It is crucial to prioritize self-care while juggling the responsibilities of being a working mom. Ensuring the well-being of your mental and physical health should not be neglected, as it not only benefits you but also positively impacts your family. Because if you’re healthy, your family will be healthier.

Importance of Mental Health for Working Moms

Working mothers have a mental load while balancing work and motherhood. We feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and burnout at some point sometimes. But you should overcome these challenges rather than downshifting your career and pay attention to your mental health. It’s never too late to start self-care.

So, follow these helpful tips from me personally to improve your overall mental well-being as a working mom and start the action right now!

  • Take out some time from your busy schedule and practice self-care.
  • Follow a proper nighttime routine to get better sleep.
  • Eat a healthy, nutritious diet on time to refill your energy to work efficiently.
  • Do yoga, walk, or any other physical activity daily.
  • Think positive and surround yourself with positive and supportive people.

Follow these tips and focus on your mental health to lead a happier life.

Final Thoughts

The exponential growth in the technology of this era enables women to maintain their status in professional life without neglecting their household duties. Also, they remedy challenges that pose barriers to guilt-free and happy motherhood. So, you can achieve your career goals, kick out stress and depression from your life, raise your child better, and live a fulfilled and meaningful life- all at once.

Thanks to modern technology, now I’m a caregiver, earner, and a housewife, all at once due to technological advancements of this era!
