Tech Impact, a 501(c)(3) organization that uses technology to drive social impact and is a leader in workforce training in Nevada, is joining forces with the Las Vegas Raiders to expand and diversify Nevada’s tech workforce. Currently, women and minorities make up less than half of Nevada’s tech workforce, and a report has highlighted accountability issues in workforce development programs. In response, Tech Impact is reaffirming its commitment to providing transparent and collaborative training programs that support underserved youth in the region. They are partnering with community pillars such as the Las Vegas Raiders to achieve greater success. The Raiders are active supporters of Tech Impact’s ITWorks program, providing mentorship and internships for young adults to help them secure entry-level IT roles without needing a college degree.

The Raiders were recently honored with the Community Impact Award at last month’s annual Celebration of Impact Luncheon. This event brings together program supporters, technology and business executives dedicated to enhancing tech employment opportunities for Southern Nevada residents. The Raiders’ IT Department recently collaborated with a group, collectively volunteering 178 hours and pairing nine Raider mentors with current students.
