Arizona. Its climate is attractive to many – those with allergies, those who want to retire to someplace warm, and, while housing costs are a bit on the high side, homes continue to rise in value. As does the population, which now stands at over 7.5 million. It’s population growth ranks 7th in the nation.

In terms of business, the state has its share of large enterprises in the financial, healthcare, and electronics industries. They have full departments of data analytics pros who analyze what is working and what is not and revising accordingly, especially the performances of their websites and apps in attracting the business they need for growth. Contrast that with over 611,000 small businesses that are also trying to stay competitive. the phrase “There’s an app for that” is not some meaningless slogan. It’s reality as restaurants, grocery and sporting goods stores encourage consumers to download their apps for everything from orders and pickups to discount coupons, to special sales. One problem, though. These businesses do not have in-house data analysis. The solution? Contract with analytics firms such as Adjust to do the analytics and recommended improvements.
As mentioned above, the state is experiencing rapid population growth, and with that growth comes greater diversity. And that diversity includes a large influx of new people of the LGBTQIA+ status. So, what does this all mean for the state and its culture?
Current Status of LGBTQIA+ People in AZ- – It’s Complicated
In 2001, the state passed the state’s Equity Act which repealed earlier laws of sodomy and legalized homosexuality. From that point forward, additional laws granting more rights to the LGBTQIA+ community, some by their own initiation, some by federal rulings. Here’s a short rundown of the progress that has been made.
Same-Sex Partnerships/Marriage
In 2014, the state was forced to recognize same-sex marriage due to a federal court mandate. Funny thing, though. The ban still remained in its constitution. And so, cities like Tucson, Flagstaff, Bisbee and sunny Phoenix put in place their own measures to allow and recognize same-sex partnerships (civil unions).
Parenting and Adoption
Adoption by single people is legal in the state. But the law requires that adoption agencies give preference to married couples.
Lesbians do have legal access to reproductive services (IVF or surrogates). And, as of 2017, by ruling of the state Supreme Court, married same-sex couples have the right to put both of their names as parents on birth certificate of a child born to them. If surrogacy is used, the same-sex couples must legally adopt a child born of a biological mother. And still today, religious organizations may legally discriminate against members of the LGTBQ+ community in any way they wish.
Protection From Discrimination
Beginning in 2020, any discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation in any employment is illegal because it is covered under the prohibition of discrimination based on sex. Many cities, including Phoenix, passed their own anti-discrimination laws, including the ts community.
Hate Crime Laws
Gender and sexual orientation are included in the state’s hate crime law. and that includes the trans spectrum (ts). And while the trans spectrum was not specifically included, federal laws do cover it as of 2009.
Transgender Rights in Arizona
Actually, the state is pretty progressive in this area.
In 2023, the governor issued an executive order that government employees would have “…access and insurance coverage to gender-affirming healthcare and services through Medicaid.” That same year, the ACLU began a suit to expand this order to all residents of the state.
In 2024, a federal district judge ruled that people may change the sex on their birth certificate whether or not they have had any reassignment surgery, as well as on their driver’s license/state ID card with a physician’s testament that they are permanently committed to their gender identity, regardless of whether they have had any reassignment treatment.
A couple of anti-trans bills were vetoed by the governor in 2023, dealing with bathroom and pronoun usage in public schools.
Government funding for conversion therapy is banned. And in Pima Country (which includes Tucson), conversion therapy is a criminal offense.
Not Finished Yet
Sex-reassignment treatment is still banned on minor children, except in the cases of those born intersex.
Participation in sports of transgender students is still banned in public schools and colleges.
Exposing school children to “gender ideology” is still a criminal offense, and parents may opt out of sex education curricula that cover subjects of homosexuality and transgenderism.
Overall, though, individuals on the trans spectrum enjoy rights and freedoms not enjoyed in plenty of other states in the US.
Another note here regarding some research. A 2017 university-conducted survey reported that 63% of state residents support same-sex marriage; 73% support anti-discrimination laws in support of gender identity and sexual orientation; 59% oppose businesses that serve the public to refuse services to LGBTQ residents. This latest survey shows a continuing trend in greater support for the entire community.
Whew, this is a lot to digest but it is important for the trans community in the state and for those who seek relationships with them – relationships of any type – friendship, trans dating, having fun, finding love, even sexual encounters. These are personal decisions that deserve to be explored and sought.

Online Sources for Connecting with Trans Females
Connecting with trans females online is super simple. Conduct a Google search and just see what pops up. But many of them are pretty sketchy, so it may be best to stick with those that are most commonly used, even though some precautions are still in order.
Social Media
This is an easy one. All of the big social media platforms now have groups for those with common interests. And transgenders are no exception.
Joining these groups will put seekers of relationships with transgender females will put them in touch for any purpose – friendship, trans dating, or finding love. And because of location preferences, those who are in the Phoenix Arizona locale can meet others from the same locale.
There are some precautions necessary. Fake profiles can get through, set up by those who are up to no good. Here are those precautions:
- If you plan to meet up with a woman for trans dating, be sure it is in the daylight hours and in a public place – there are plenty in the Phoenix area. If the person is a fraud, they will probably back out of such an arrangement. They prefer night and a more intimate place, perhaps where they may slip something in your drink.
- Provide your own transportation to and from. Never get in a car with someone you meet with.
- Keep your phone on and ready to use
- Tell someone – friend or family – the place of your meet up
Whether you want friendship or a love connection, there will be trans women to hook up with. They are not just for hooking up either. Conversations can be on all sorts of topics and let trans women and those who seek them get to know each other. Most of these groups have location preferences too.
Chat Rooms
That Google search you conducted probably produced a good amount of trans chat rooms. If you are looking for friendship or trans dating of any kind, you may want to check a few of these out. And just like on social media, members can specify locations, such as the Phoenix area.
The problem, of course, is the same as that with social media groups, only a bit worse. There is absolutely no vetting of those who join chat rooms, and the numbers of bad actors can be numerous.
So, if you plan to meet someone for any reason, like trans dating, the same precautions apply as those for social media. Take heed and follow them.
Online Dating Sites and Apps
A Bit of Background
1995 was a year that was to change dating life forever. This was the year Match was launched – a website for singles, heterosexual of course, to meet other singles via a simple matching system, check each other out, and decide if their talk produced enough interest to try in-person dating.
The concept caught on, and today there are over 8,000 such sites and app and well over 400,000,000 individuals using them. During the COVID pandemic, the use of these services surged, as isolated singles sought a place for human contact.
Everyone expected the use of online dating platforms plummet after the end of the pandemic. That didn’t happen, as singles decided their dating life was more efficient than spending money and energy on dates that didn’t work out This obviously applied to singles in Phoenix as well.
Choosing the Right Dating Platform for Those on the LGBTQ+ Spectrum
Lots of platforms opened up categories for the LGBTQ+ population as they came to understand that this population could bring in another user base (and increase revenue too).
But really, the goal is always the same with these guys – use a good algorithm to present great matches and then consider their work completed.
And this is why the LGBTQIA+ population has flocked to one platform, Taimi, which has become the #1 choice for this population. Taimi simply leaves all others in the dust.
So, just what makes Taimi the top choice for this population? Read on.
The Taimi Platform – The #1 Choice for the LGBTQIA+ Population
How Taimi Came to Be
Taimi was founded, developed, and launched by two individuals who saw a huge gap in the online dating platforms for the LGBTQIA+ population. They wanted to serve that population exclusively, not as simply a category within a larger platform.
Taimi was developed and launched with a clear mission – to serve the queer population in totality, not just as a great place to find relationships they want with new people but to honor and respect their other needs too – something that other dating platforms ignore. With that in mind, let’s look at all the Taimi offers to its user base.
Who Taimi is For
Anyone who visits the Taimi site will get a clear picture of its mission, its features, and how it addresses the whole person, not just their preferences for a match of any kind, in a climate of dignity and respect. It’s a total win for this population.
Taimi’s mission is far more than matching individuals for all sorts of relationships. It wants every user to be a part of its community, feeling camaraderie and a sense of belonging to an entire group whose members support and honor each other.
What is Taimi’s User Base
Taimi is the largest LGBTQIA+ exclusive online dating platform in the world, with over 27 million active members. While it is global, US membership totals in the many millions, and that obviously includes a very large number from the Phoenix metro.
That user base includes those of the entire LGBTQIA+ spectrum and even allies who seek relationships with them – perfect for those seeking any type of relationship with trans females in Phoenix.
Let’s unpack all the details of Taimi.
Taimi Features
Here’s the rundown of what Taimi brings to the table for all of its members.
- Plenty of options for both gender identity and sexual orientation. For example, someone can identify as a trans female and also as heterosexual, lesbian, bisexual, nonbinary, or something else.
- Members have the option to verify their identities. If they do, their profiles indicate this, and they are then seen as more trusted than those who don’t. It’s a good choice.
- There are also options for presentation and communication. Two matches can choose to set up a fully private communication method that allows exchange of more photos, videos, and conversations.
- Other privacy options include members going incognito until they are ready to reveal their identities to matches they are communicating with.
- Members who are made to feel uncomfortable by others or anyone who violates Taimi community standards are asked to report such behavior. Once reported, the matter is investigated immediately and appropriate action taken.
- Got an ex who is also a member? Feel free to exclude them in one easy step.
Look at What’s for Free!
Other dating services charge for many of what Taimi offers for free. Here’s the brief list:
- It’s free to Join Taimi and set up an account, create a profile, identify gender and orientation, and add photos. To help craft that great profile, Taimi asks questions to answer that will give key personal information that will attract others. Other platforms don’t do this.
- Taimi also provides comments and questions for members to use as they start conversations with their mutual matches – it’s a long list to pick and choose from
- Taimi has its own legacy matching algorithm, developed in-house that finds the best matches possible. As members continue to use the platform, the matches just get better.
- There are methods for matches to communicate that other platforms often charge for – messaging, chatting, phone and video calls.
- It’s free for members to participate in all of the activities that build the Taimi culture – games, contests, holiday and other events.
- Members who stick with the free version still have the option to purchase single premium features for short periods of time
Diamond Dating
For those with one of Taimi’s premium versions, this is a unique feature.
- They can further narrow geographical parameters. Instead of the state, for example, they can set a radius in and around the Phoenix Arizona locale.
- They use what are called Taimi secure cards to hold mutual private communication.
Taimi Promotes Fun
Taimi believes that a culture of fun boosts the entire climate and wants those engaged in any type of relationship to have a good time. And that is why they offer games and other events and encourage all members to be a part of them. Everyone should enjoy who they are, who they love, and who they are striving to be.
Taimi Functions as a Social Media Platform Too
Other dating apps are focused on finding matches and offer little else. Taimi invites its members to join social groups that have been formed by other members for discussions on specific topics or just for fun. Members can post and follow others in these groups or create groups of their own.
Taimi Counts on its Members to Improve
Taimi doesn’t use a lot of the data analytics to show them what is working and what is not. It solicits feedback and suggestions from its own members to make changes that will improve its members’ experiences on the platform.
Taimi Publishes Success Stories
On the Taimi platform, members who find life partners often tell their stories for publication. And so, if trans dating ends in this type of relationship, Taimi would love to hear your story and publish it too.
To Sum it All Up
In all, the mission, the features, the focus on culture and fun make Taimi the most popular LGBTQIA+ online dating app on the planet for singles of all genders and orientations. Members enjoy being who they are, having the relationships they want, engaging other members through groups, and having fun.
Trans dating is “in the air” at Taimi. So, if you are seeking Trans gals in Phoenix, for whatever type of relationship, Taimi can get the job done.
