We’re getting to know Luca Bond, co-founder and Creative Designer of gifting platform Yuti Gift Box.
How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t work in retail? At Yuti, we make it easy to send custom gifts and care packages that contain your favorite brands. Plus, each package comes with a note written by us! We also specialize in corporate gifting, from creating custom projects to media mailers, swag, and promotional gifts. My goal is to increase innovation, offerings, profit, and creativity, all while dealing with a difficult year in terms of sales and money.
One thing we can’t guess about your job from your Instagram or LinkedIn profile? I’m still actively involved in marketing and design – often doing live sketches for our internal team to use, or having highly-engaging discussions.
What’s your favorite project you have ever worked on at Yuti? Every year, coming up with ideas and releasing the Holiday collection is my most beloved project, well this is third year and definitely 2022 was better collection than 2021 and 2023 is better than both years.
Do you have your favorite brand that you using very often to create Yuti Gift Boxes? I actually love all the brands that we purchase, and I would say we use them all , however Maison De Bougie Candles are the ones that we use for lot of our boxes and Moet Chandon Mini Champagne bottle are just the best sellers.
Worst piece of advice you’ve received? Mother in law told me I was wasting my time and I was going to add lot of stress in my life. Well she was kinda was right with stress thing but still not the best advice overall
What was your favorite retail brand when you were 21, and what’s your favorite retail brand now? My favorite retail brand when I was 21 was probably Diesel clothing and actually its so funny but brand disappeared so strangely. My favorite retail brand now is honestly I kinda don’t have one anymore , I guess I will say Nike.
