Hal Elrod created the Miracle Morning to overcome adversity. The Miracle Morning consists of six key activities that should be done first thing in the morning.
This should change your life before 8 a.m. It involves setting up a daily morning routine through six activities called savers.
Its acronym is S.A.V.E.R.S.
S – Silence
A – Affirmations
V – Visualizations
E – Exercise
R – Reading
S – Scribing
The process of transforming human life takes one hour a day, according to Dr. Argiro. In addition to the App, there is also a book that goes with the program. Cousin Pat does refer to it as a program. In addition to the physical book, Dr. Argiro recommends the audiobook version of the book called the Miracle Morning.
Let’s take this one activity at a time…
Silence is the practice of clearing the mind for ten minutes. In the case of a person who has thoughts racing at light speed clogging their ability to think clearly, this is considered the most challenging of the six routines. Cousin Pat recommends substituting this routine with a calming thought or memory while breathing in and out slowly for the first ten minutes if it is too challenging.
Affirmations are positive thoughts that can be repeated over and over and in multiple areas of life. For example, to repeat things such as …
- I will have a good day
- I will be a better mother
- I will be a better husband
- That promotion is mine
Visualizations are like affirmations in that they continuously play positive images over and over in the mind. Imagine in your mind the client coming in for meetings or perhaps your future wife and children visiting you at the office when you are trying to start a business.
Exercise is just moving the body. It is important to get the heart rate up by doing this. Doing exercise for ten minutes every morning releases dopamine which helps set a person’s mood and create energy as well as help with sleep at night. Physical activity activates the release of a neurotransmitter called dopamine, often called the “happy hormone.” Exercise, eating delicious foods, shopping, and engaging in sex all release dopamine.
Reading is where Cousin Pat does admit he does cheat and uses the audio version and will listen to an audio book for ten minutes. Now if someone is on a budget and can’t afford to buy the book or pay for the audio book, the first thing that can be done is see if Audible is giving away a free copy if an individual has accumulated enough credit to get the Miracle Morning audiobook for free.
Individuals can go to YouTube and download the Miracle Morning; however, YouTube does not work if someone is trying to use another App and so therefore write down in a notepad where YouTube left off regarding time every day so if a person forgets where they left off, they can look at the pad and start there.
Scribing is a fancy way of saying journaling and there are many free journaling prompts that can be downloaded off the internet to pick a subject. Always start small as journaling is also challenging as well. Ultimately the goal is ten minutes of journaling per day.
The Miracle Morning App can be obtained on an iPhone or Android, and it helps keep track of time as it will alert the user when the next routine has begun.
If someone is “in a rut” or not feeling well, this one-hour routine for thirty days is recommended and should create some positive changes in an individual’s journey toward personal development.
