Janice Leung, better known as @janicellt on social media, is a well-known health influencer who has inspired countless people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Sure! My journey began a few years ago when I started to take my fitness and health more seriously. I started sharing my journey on social media as a way to hold myself accountable, and to inspire others to do the same. As my following grew, I realized that I had a platform to make a positive impact on people’s lives, and I decided to use it to promote a healthy lifestyle.

What are your top tips for living a healthy life?

As a health influencer, I believe that living a healthy life requires a holistic approach. My top tips include prioritizing exercise, making healthy food choices, and taking care of your mental health. You don’t need to have a complex workout routine to stay active; even a brief workout can make a significant impact. When it comes to food, balance and moderation are key. What you put into your body reflects on the outside, so I focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods. Finally, taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health. It’s crucial to find ways to manage stress and make self-care a priority in your daily routine.

How do you stay motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

For me, staying motivated comes down to having a strong “why”. I believe that taking care of my health and wellness is the key to living a happy, fulfilling life. When I feel motivated, I remind myself of my goals and the reasons why I started on this journey. And when I feel unmotivated, I focus on taking small, manageable steps to get back on track.

What are your plans for the future as a health influencer?

As a health influencer, my future plans revolve around continuing to inspire and educate people on the countless benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle. I aspire to reach a wider audience and make a greater impact on their lives. To this end, I have ventured into new avenues such as Awake Flo, which advocates for a healthy lifestyle through Yoga. Additionally, I have launched Awake Vitamin, which promotes healthier vitamins sourced through good practices. My ultimate goal is to empower and assist as many individuals as possible to live a happier, healthier life.

Do you have a daily routine you would like to share?

Yes, I do have a daily routine that helps me stay focused, energized, and healthy. My mornings start with three deep breaths, followed by making a cup of tea or coffee. I take five minutes to meditate and journal in my gratitude journal. Then, I plan my day ahead, set goals, and visualize them while sipping my coffee and posting on social media. I also use a hydration face mask and a facial fitness device to feel refreshed and rejuvenated. After that, I put on my workout clothes and start my exercise routine, which can be a workout or any type of movement that suits me for the day. For breakfast, I prioritize a healthy meal, such as oatmeal with fruits and nuts or a smoothie bowl. Throughout the day, I make sure to take breaks to move my body and clear my mind, whether it’s a quick walk outside or some gentle yoga stretches. In the evenings, I like to wind down with some relaxation techniques such as deep breathing with lighting a candle or reading a book. I prioritize getting a good night’s sleep to recharge for the next day. This routine helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay focused on my goals.

Can you share five practical steps that someone can take to transform their life if they’re feeling stuck in a rut?

  1. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Avoid those who drain your energy or bring negativity into your life.
  2. Practice gratitude by taking a moment to think of three things you’re thankful for whenever negative thoughts arise. This can help shift your perspective and bring positivity into your life.
  3. Step out of your comfort zone by trying new things like workout classes or meeting new people. Being motivated by others can inspire you to make positive changes in your life.
  4. Listen to inspirational podcasts that can provide guidance and motivation. These can be great tools for personal growth and self-improvement.
  5. Focus on letting go of things that no longer serve you, whether it’s negative relationships, old habits, or limiting beliefs. Embrace the present moment and move forward with a positive mindset.

Can you share some wellness hacks that have made a big difference in your life?

Absolutely! Here are three wellness hacks that have made a significant difference for me:

  1. Using a water bottle with a straw: It may sound simple, but having a water bottle with a straw has helped me stay hydrated throughout the day. I find that I drink more water when I have a straw because it’s easier to sip on and I don’t have to tilt my head back as much. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly and saves money on buying disposable plastic water bottles.
  2. Lymphatic drainage massages: These massages have been a game-changer for me. Lymphatic drainage massages help to reduce inflammation and promote lymphatic flow, which can improve your overall health and well-being. It’s also a great way to destress and relax.
  3. Infrared saunas: Infrared saunas have become one of my favorite ways to detoxify and unwind. The heat penetrates deep into your muscles and joints, helping to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and boost your immune system. Plus, it’s a great way to destress and clear your mind.

I would just like to encourage everyone to prioritize their health and wellness. No matter where you are on your fitness journey, it’s never too late to start making positive changes. Remember to be kind to yourself, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Everyone’s path is different, and the most important thing is that you keep moving forward.
