Tokyo-based web creative studio 1BLOCK is pleased to announce that they had recently collaborated with TMS Entertainment Co. Ltd. to build a project featuring LUPIN THE IIIRD along with the 3D avatar project MetaSamurai to make NFT virtual sneakers.
Lupin III is a fictional character who is considered the planet’s greatest thief. He is famous for announcing his plans to steal precious objects by sending off a calling card to their owners. The newest 3D avatar project MetaSamurai designed by 1BLOCK in partnership with the LUPIN THE IIIRD series directed by Takeshi Koike portrays the young Lupin and the gang. It will be issued as a first-of-its-kind NFT virtual sneaker collectible.
The virtual sneakers from MetaSamurai are 1/1 3DCG collectibles based on designs inspired by the movies and characters of Lupin the IIIrd series.

The LUPIN THE IIIRD series is a more adult worldwide take on the original Lupin the Third anime series. It was directed by Takeshi Koike, whose aggressive direction and stunning drawings captivated audiences in Japan and worldwide. Three works have been released so far, including Fujiko’s Lie, Goemon’s Blood Spray, and Jigen’s Grave Marker.
The LUPIN THE IIIRD X MetaSamurai NFT project will be available on OpenSea. The number of items to be issued will be forty items each, with a total of 120 items. It will be available in three different designs, including the Lupin design, the Jigen design, and the Goemon design. All designs will be sold as 1/1 designs.
Priority purchase rights will be given to all MetaSamurai NFT owners, and further details will be announced on 1BLOCK’s official Discord server.
On the other hand, the LUPIN THE IIIRD X Air Smoke Zero, which is a virtual sneaker, will also be available in OpenSea. There will be a total of 20 items available in three different designs, including LUPIN THE IIIRD: Jigen’s Grave Marker, LUPIN THE IIIRD: Goemon’s Blood Spray, and LUPIN THE IIIRD: Fujiko’s Lie. Likewise, all designs will be sold as 1/1 designs, and priority purchase rights will be given to all MetaSamura NFT owners.
All MetaSamura holders will receive exclusive membership access to exclusive collaborations, drops, and unique experiences. Also, the community is at the vanguard of their foundation, and every MetaSamura NFT unlocks entry to the 1BLOCK ecosystem as well as future projects.
