Are you a traditional holiday gift giver? Do you usually give your friends and loved ones Christmas staples like food baskets, apparel, toys, and personalized items? This year, to give your presents a new twist, consider giving tech devices to the special people on your list. According to a recent survey, 89 percent of respondents plan to buy tech gifts such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, wearables, and gaming consoles. While the majority of tech gifts are for children under the age of 18, almost 40 percent are shopping for their spouses, while nearly 30 percent are buying tech for other adults.

Giving a tech gift is such a winning move, especially if the device can improve the recipient’s productivity, introduce them to new hobbies, or enhance their lifestyle. But if you’re worried that the gift may seem a little impersonal, consider bundling it with one or two Christmas staple gifts to create a personalized present. Don’t know which items to combine? To impress your loved ones, here are some gift bundle ideas that feature traditional gifts and tech gadgets.

Reading Bundle

Got a special person in your life who loves to read? Consider giving them an e-reader this Christmas. Having one allows your friend or family member to store a whole library’s worth of books in one device, and it enables them to save on energy, paper, and ink that are used to make physical books. There are lots of e-readers in the market, ranging from tablet-sized gadgets like the Amazon Kindle, Kobo, or Nook, to phone-sized devices such as the Hisense 9, Boox Palma, and the Xiaomi Inkpalm. Choose a device that fits your budget and the recipient’s taste and preference, then upload a few apps.

Think about adding an ebook reader app, Scribd, iBooks, and Google Play Books and Audiobooks. If you’re giving the gift to a child, secure the device for online safety by removing unverified apps, then replace them with safe reading apps, preferably ones that don’t require them to purchase anything. For a grown-up recipient, bundle the e-reader with an aromatherapy candle and a reading-related mug or thermos. For a child, consider adding a plush toy or a blanket, plus a custom-made pillow featuring their favorite cartoon character.

Wellness Bundle

We all want our loved ones to be healthy and well, so why not give them a wellness bundle for the holidays? This is the perfect gift for any age, so you can give them to your best friend who’s a fitness enthusiast, or a senior parent who wants to live a healthier lifestyle. To create a wellness bundle, start by purchasing a fitness tracker or watch with features that track the wearer’s heart rate, steps, calorie intake, and sleep. Some of the best fitness trackers include the Fitbit Charge 6 and the Apple Watch Series 10. But if you’re on a budget, there are more affordable options out there, such as the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and the Huawei Band 7– these work just as well as their more expensive counterparts.

Once you’ve chosen a fitness tracker, bundle it with an insulated water bottle, a jump rope, and a gym towel to keep your gift recipient dry during exercise sessions. As an alternative, you can create a wellness bundle by adding a nutrition planner, a yoga mat, and a powdered drink supplement to the fitness tracker.

Entertainment Bundle

Need a gift for a person who loves listening to music and watching movies and series on their phone? Make them smile by giving them an entertainment bundle. It’s likely that their smartphone is not giving them the best viewing and listening experience, so head out and purchase a tablet that’s best for movies and music. Top-rated ones include the Apple iPad, the Amazon Fire HD 8, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

For a present that will wow your loved one, bundle the tablet with Airpods and a one-year subscription to their media or streaming platform of choice. Add traditional gift items like a bag of gourmet popcorn, a bottle of wine or a tin of gourmet hot cocoa mix, and a pack of assorted homemade cookies.

This holiday season, think about giving gifts that keep on giving. Bundle tech items with traditional Christmas presents to show your love and appreciation to the people who matter most to you.
