Daniel Ciment, the founder and owner of Ciment Law Firm, PLLC, is an example of a law entrepreneur whose sense of service has exceeded his financial ambitions.

Ciment’s path to becoming a consumer rights advocate has a unique and valuable background. This attorney went from working for debt collection agencies at the beginning of his legal career to opening his own practice to help consumers fight against the same companies he used to represent. For Ciment, defending those whom abusive debt collectors have victimized has become not just a job but a vocation.

“When I first started practicing law in 2003, I was on the opposite side of where I’m now; I was in debt collection,” said Ciment during a recent interview. “I quickly realized that that line of the law really wasn’t for me. Listening to how collectors treat people and what they would do to collect debts convinced me that I needed to follow a path where I could have more fulfillment.”

During a video interview, Ciment talked about his early career and the process of establishing Ciment Law Firm, PLLC. This law entrepreneur emphasized how putting one’s core values over financial ambitions is the true path to success in the law industry.

Today, Ciment is a true champion of consumer rights. Since opening his own practice, Daniel and his legal team have helped thousands of people struggling with unpaid debts and abusive debt collectors. This commitment to defending consumers has allowed Ciment Law Firm to earn the title “The Debt Defenders.”

However, Ciment’s career did not begin at the forefront of the fight for consumer rights. This law entrepreneur went from defending collectors to defending debtors, an experience that led to him forging a deep sense of service.

As an attorney working for debt collection agencies, Daniel witnessed firsthand the abusive tactics employed by debt collectors. “Debt collectors are paid a commission based on what they collect, so they would say anything or do anything to collect as much as possible,” he said.

Ciment saw how some collectors would harass people with endless phone calls, make false promises, and use deceitful tactics to collect debts. These practices went against his moral compass, and he knew he had to make a change.

Feeling a sense of moral conflict and realizing that he wanted to help people, Daniel made the decision to quit working for debt collection agencies.

“I made the decision that this is not for me and quit to go and work for a bankruptcy firm to help people resolve their debts,” Ciment said.

Ciment knew he could better serve people by helping them resolve their debts rather than working for debt collectors only interested in making a profit. He switched sides and began working for a bankruptcy law firm, where he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience in helping consumers get back on the path to financial freedom.

For more than a decade, Ciment was a partner at a different bankruptcy law firm. Ultimately, at the end of 2017, Ciment decided to take his career to a new frontier and opened his own practice.

“In January 2018, I opened the Ciment Law Firm, and we became the Debt Defenders,” Ciment proudly narrated.

Ciment wanted to create a law firm that would be a safe haven for consumers struggling with debt and offer them real solutions to their problems. He also wanted to create a space where he could fulfill his sense of vocation and make a real impact on people’s lives.

“Over the past five years, we [at Ciment Law Firm] have helped thousands of people struggling with debts,” said Ciment.

“I love being able to impact the lives of others and helping them resolve their debts and deal with debt collectors. One of my favorite things to do is definitely to sue debt collectors that break the law,” he added.

Ciment and his team at Ciment Law Firm have a deep commitment to defending the rights of consumers and holding debt collectors accountable for their actions. They provide a safe space for people who have been wronged by debt collectors and offer them the support and guidance they need to rebuild their lives.

Daniel Ciment’s journey from working for debt collectors to becoming a debt resolution lawyer and The Debt Defender is a testament to his unwavering sense of vocation and desire to positively impact people’s lives. He saw the injustice and abuse perpetrated by debt collectors and knew he had to take action. He switched sides and dedicated his career to helping consumers overcome their debt problems and rebuild their lives.

Nowadays, the Debt Defenders work to help people start a new chapter in their lives. Ciment Law Firm offers a three-step process to help clients resolve their debts, protect their rights, and rebuild their credit. With this program, Ciment and his team assist consumers in rebuilding their credit, achieving their goals, and getting a fresh start.

For Ciment, the work he does at Ciment Law Firm is about more than just helping people resolve their debts. It’s about giving people hope for a better future.
